Awards Dinner & Banquet
The annual banquet is an event created by Chamber members for Chamber members. It is a celebration of the previous year’s successes and accomplishments and gives the Chamber an opportunity to recognize individual Chamber members for their outstanding performance in the business community. Awards distributed at this event include “ Large Business of the Year,” ”Small Business of the Year,” “Young Entrepreneur,” “Non-Profit,” and “Citizen of the Year”. The exiting President and any retiring Board members are also recognized. The incoming President and Board of Directors are introduced at this event.
This event is the Chamber’s flagship celebratory event of the year, and is usually held at the Bowie Community Center the last Monday in January. For an added twist, Chamber members can decorate a table for eight (8). Decor limited only by their imagination. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards are given for the “Best Table Top Design”. Tickets go on sale late-December.
