The Bowie Community Development Board is hatching a full day of activities for the 25th Annual Chicken and Bread Days Heritage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3 in downtown Bowie, Texas.

Rise with the chickens to enjoy the Championship Fiddlers Competition starting at 10 a.m. in the Bowie Fire Hall, see the shine of the Piston Heads Auto Club show downtown, new Kid’s Coop Inflatables, walk through the pumpkin patch, horse-drawn carriage rides, and gunfighter shows throughout the day. Don’t miss the talent at the Art Exhibit inside the Bowie Public Library. Along with live downtown performances from the Rise Performing Arts Center Youth Dancers, Bowie Youth Cheerleaders, and Bowie Intermediate Students singing.

The main stage will welcome the Richard Beverage Band, Monty Dawson Band, Casting Out Band to accompany the many fun games hosted by Bowie Community Development.

The Heritage Market has grown with even more vendors and food trucks. They are also accepting promotional products from local businesses for goodie bags. You can drop them off at the office or call and they are happy to pick them up.
